Diglycolamine is a two-valued alkanolamine which contains both primary amino groups and hydroxyl groups. It is the combination which provides good water solubility, strong neutralisation and emulsification and various chemical reactivity. It shows good low-temperature stability and relatively low volatility, which makes it suitable for industrial processes which require stable liquid-phase performance. The chemical will easily react with organic acids to form salts and serves as an effective functional intermediate for a wide range of chemical formulations and synthesis processes.
